If you have a damaged CV boot that needs to be replaced, I recommend that you opt for having the axle replaced instead of replacing just the CV boot (the axle assembly in fact has a new CV boot). We had a torn right CV boot and had it replaced. The next year, the CV joint was clicking on slow turns due to damaged bearings (likely a progressive failure from a foreign object introduced from the initial CV boot tear). The cost of parts and labor for the new right axle was nearly the same as the parts and labor for the CV boot replacement. Lesson learned: If the CV joint is open for any period of time, the damage may already be done. Pay once to get a new axle, and save money down the road.In addition to the above repairs, GTImports has worked on our Odyssey's brakes, transmission, and performed many oil changes. Their service estimates have been fair, accurate, and on-time with the work performed. I strongly recommend GT if you have a brand new or older Honda. It's a reputable alternative to the FLOW empire.

You did check on a used car I was considering. Very comprehensive job. As a result, I got several items corrected before the purchase.

I am new to the Winston-Salem area, and was looking for a reliable mechanic for my 1999 Honda Civic, which has enough miles on it to have traveled to the Moon and part way back!GT's service advisor, Ken, took extra time to review my car's condition in detail, and helped me consider the need and cost of repairs to my car. He took me step by step through the process as the car was repaired.When I picked the car up, the entire staff was very friendly and welcoming. The business owner, John, greeted me and thanked me personally for my business. Ken and the mechanic who worked on my car showed me exactly what was done, even showing me the old parts that had been removed and replaced. The repairs were major, and I was encouraged by GTs thoroughness, attention to detail and professional guarantee. The staff went out of their way to be courteous, adding a few extra touches and repairs and even washing and waxing my car.I would recommend GT Imports Automotive services highly.

Service is consistently done right the first time and on time. Ken and Chuck are both helpful and friendly, ready to greet and make you feel at home, they are both extremely knowledgeable as to what service or repair is needed to the vehicle!!
